Pilot Engineering and Solutions Architecture Intern

EchoStar has an exciting opportunity in ourHughes Network Systems division for aPilot Engineering and Solutions Architecture Intern. This position will be located at ourGermantown, MD office.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teams such as Network Engineering, Customer Service, Orchestration, and Network Infrastructure to assist in gathering requirements and design scalable and maintainable workflows.
• Explore building demo scripts for networking and cybersecurity solutions involving networking gear and security applications.
• Assist in the development of automated reporting templates to efficiently track opportunities, leveraging Salesforce, Tableau, and other reporting tools to streamline data updates and improve decision-making processes.
• Create comprehensive documentation for code, processes, and solutions to ensure effective knowledge sharing, facilitate team collaboration, and support long-term maintainability.

Basic Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Must have 60 credit hours completed by June 2025
• 3.0 GPA or above

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of networking concepts, software development fundamentals, python scripting and debugging techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate ideas clearly.
