Sr Quality Engineer - Manufacturing Operations

EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer for Operations in our Hughes Network Systems division. The position will be located at the Hughes production facility in Germantown, MD.

Responsibilities:

• Work on the continual improvement of the Hughes Quality Management System that contains the corporate policies, procedures, and work instructions based on the ISO 9001:2015 standard
• Assist with the annual ISO 9001:2015 certification and surveillance audits with a qualified third party auditor
• Provide support of the operations wide internal audit program
• Follow-up on the corrective and preventive action plans identified through the internal audits and escalate shortcomings to the executive Quality Management Council as required
• Maintain 5s compliance and training for all personnel in operations
• Maintain ESD and Calibration of test equipment projects.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or Business Management
• 5 years of experience with quality management system standards such as ISO 9001, TL 9000, or ITIL 

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years of budget forecasting and financial management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong teamwork skills

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
